Hello, my name is Kimberly Carthans.  
This is my twenty-fifth year of teaching.  I have taught both first and second  grade. I am so excited to be teaching third grade at Metcalf this year.

My hobbies are going to the movies, running, and walking with my dogs,              Max and Jazzy. However, most of all, I just love spending time with my family.

My educational background extends from classroom teaching to serving as the former director of CHALK Preschool.  I attended Illinois State University and received a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and a Master's Degree in Reading Education.

My hometown is Peoria, Illinois.
I currently reside in Normal, IL with
my husband, Erik, and my two daughters, Raven and Jade. My parents live in Pinehurst, North Carolina and my sister lives with her family in Atlanta, Georgia.
